Software Terms of Use
- By installing or opening CDE Software products, you agree to the License Agreement.
- We do not support or take responsibility for pirated (illegal) software. Pirated copies may damage your computer or data, and using them is against the law.
- Support is only provided for licensed customers listed in our database. If software was given to you, ownership must be officially transferred, via CDE Software, with a signed form and payment.
- Upgrade pricing is only available to licensed customers listed in our database.
- Each computer must have its own unique serial number to prove it has a paid license.
- Features may change without notice. Free demo versions are available to test before purchase.
Features and Specifications
- Product features and specifications may change without notice.
- Operating system compatibility may change without notice.
- Some features may be specific or available for a specifically intended bowling season
Order Processing
- Orders received before 12:00 PM on a business day are usually processed and shipped the same day, as long as the item is in stock and the chosen shipping method allows it.
- Orders received after 12:00 PM are usually processed and shipped the next business day.
- Business days are Monday through Friday. Weekends, holidays, and office closures are not business days.
- Once a package has been shipped, the shipping carrier is responsible for delivery times and any delays.
- Items from the same order will not be shipped separately.
Busy Season
Between August 15 and September 15, order volume is very high. Processing may take extra time during this period.
Pricing Errors
If we discover during processing that the amount paid is incorrect, for reasons such as ordering the wrong product, using the wrong upgrade option, using an ineligible coupon, a pricing error, or a technical issue with the online store, CDE Software reserves the right to place your order on hold. You will be asked to pay the price difference before your order is completed.
Licensing to Individual, League/Tournament, or Company
When purchasing, you must choose whether the software is licensed to an individual, a league/tournament, or a company. Regardless of license type, the software may only be installed on one computer, as explained in the License Agreement.
If the license is for a league, tournament, or company, that license may only be used for the specific league, tournament, or company named at the time of purchase.
License Transfer
Licenses for league or tournament non-automatic scoring edition products may be eligible for transfer from the current license holder. To complete a transfer, a license transfer form must be filled out and returned to CDE Software. A transfer fee may apply.
Product Downloads
BLS, BTM, and TBrac products are always available for download, even if you also order a printed manual or installation media (USB Flash Drive or CD-ROM).
Preorders
All preorders are charged at the time you place the order. If you do not want to be charged before the product is available, you should wait to order until the product is released.
Registration Codes
All CDE Software products require a Registration Code to run. Without a code, the software will only work in Demonstration mode with limited features. Even if you buy and download the software from CDE Software or an authorized dealer, it will remain in Demo mode until you enter a valid Registration Code.
CDE Software issues two types of Registration Codes:
• Temporary Codes – Available after you purchase from the online store and payment is authorized. They work for 5 days only, until your order is manually verified and entered into our system (which is separate from the store). Temporary Codes are not available for AutoScoring editions.
• Permanent Codes – Sent after your order is fully processed, usually within 1–2 business days.
Refund Policy
- Free demo versions are available to see if the software fits your needs before purchase as well as contacting our support team with pre-purchase questions.
- Programs physically shipped directly from CDE Software with a printed manual and installation media (USB Flash Drive or CD-ROM) come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- Only products purchased directly from CDE Software can be returned.
- Conditions for return:
- Product must have been physically shipped (not a download) with a printed manual and installation media (USB Flash Drive or CD-ROM)
- Product must not be discontinued
- Product must not be an AutoScoring edition
- Return shipping is paid by the customer
- A return authorization number (RMA) must be requested within 30 days, and products must arrive back within 7 business days of the RMA
- Shrinkwrap on clipart products must be intact
- Products not eligible for refund:
- Download-only products
- Extra licenses
- AutoScoring editions
- Orders older than 30 days
- Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3–5 business days once the return is approved.
- Shipping/handling is not refunded.
- Damaged or incomplete returns may be charged a $20 or higher fee.

Sales and Tax Policy
- Sales tax is collected in states where CDE Software has a physical presence (including Washington).
- If tax is not collected, you may still owe “use tax” to your state unless you live in Alaska, Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire, or Oregon.
- Tax-exempt customers must have a valid exemption certificate on file with us.
Customs Fees
Customers are responsible for paying any customs duties, VAT, or import fees charged by their country. CDE Software will not change or falsify product values or descriptions to reduce or avoid these fees.
Returned Checks
- Returned checks will be charged a $40 fee. Licenses from that payment will be revoked until the full balance is paid.
- A 1.5% monthly interest fee may apply, plus any collection costs.
- Payment for returned checks must be made with cash, cashier’s check, certified check, or money order. Partial payments are not accepted.
Credit Card Chargebacks
If a credit card chargeback is filed against a purchase from CDE Software, all licenses connected to that order will be revoked immediately. To restore and reissue the licenses, the full balance of the original purchase must be paid in full, plus a $20 reissue fee. Licenses will only be reissued after payment has cleared.
Returned Check Policy
If a payment made by check to CDE Software is not honored by the back, all licenses connected to that order will be revoked immediately. To restore and reissue the licenses, the full balance of the original purchase must be paid in full, plus a $40 returned check fee. Licenses will only be reissued after payment has cleared. A 1.5% monthly interest charge shall be applied to the outstanding balance. Additional collection or court fees incurred if balance is not paid within 15 days.
Return check reimbursement payment must be in the form of credit or debit card, cash, cashier's check, certified check or money order. Partial payments are not acceptable.
Failed Debit/Credit Card Authorizations
- If your card payment is rejected due to billing address mismatch or failed security checks, your bank may still place a temporary hold on the funds.
- CDE Software does not have the capability of releasing these bank controlled holds. The length of the hold depends on your bank and may last from 24 hours to several weeks.
- Contact your bank to resolve fund holds.
Shipping Policy
- CDE Software, unless otherwise stated, chooses the carrier and shipping method.
- Orders placed after 12:00 PM are processed the next business day.
- Choosing a faster shipping option (such as Next Day) does not guarantee same-day shipment.
